Sentul Paradise Waterfall: So, I Don't Want to Think That I Know Bogor Well Anymore

Saya sudah tinggal di Bogor sejak tahun 1998. Waktu yang sangat panjang untuk mengenal kota ini. Saya pikir saya sudah cukup hapal dengan berbagai wisata yang ada di Bogor. Tapi ternyata kota saya masih menyimpan segudang potensi wisata. Sejak ini saya tidak akan pernah berpikir saya sudah mengenal Bogor.

I have been living in Bogor since 1998. A very long time to recognize this city. I used to think I have known every tourism place in Bogor. But evidently, there are so many hidden potential tourism in my city. From this moment, I don't want to think that I have known Bogor well anymore.

Kemarin kami sekeluarga pergi ke Sentul, Bogor. Kabarnya sih kawasan yang satu ini sudah menunjukkan eksistensinya sebagai tempat pengembangan wisata. Berhubung ada seorang bayi empat bulan yang ikut dalam rombongan kami, wisata alam mungkin bukan pilihan yang baik. Tapi ternyata Air Terjun Sentul Paradise bisa dijadikan referensi untuk liburan keluarga, bahkan jika kita ingin membawa seorang bayi.

Yesterday, me and my family went to Sentul, Bogor. We've heard that this area has showed its existence as a tourism place. Because there is a four months infant in our group, natural tourism place may be not the good choice. But Sentul Paradise Waterfall evidently can be reference for family vacation, even if we want to bring a baby.

Setelah menempuh perjalanan sekitar satu jam dengan mobil, kami akhirnya sampai di Air Terjun Sentul Paradise. Rute yang kami tempuh melalui jalanan menanjak dan berkelok-kelok. Lelah di perjalanan tidak terasa setelah melihat pemandangan indah yang bisa dilihat dari atas perbukitan.

After one hour trip by car, we finally arrived in Sentul Paradise Waterfall. We should go through uphill and zigzag way. Although we felt tired, everything was happy when seeing the bautiful scenery from the top of the hills.

Air Terjun Sentul Paradise baru dikembangkan. Keunggulan dari tempat wisata ini adalah air terjunnya yang indah serta aliran sungai di bawahnya yang dibendung untuk dijadikan tempat permainan. Tempat wisata ini juga sangat nyaman dengan udara pegunungan yang masih segar. Sayang sekali kami tidak membawa baju ganti untuk ikut bermain air.

Sentul Paradise Waterfall is just developed. The strengths of this tourism place is the picturesque waterfall and the river flow which has been dammed to be water playground. This touris place is also very comfortable with fresh air mountain. Unfortunately, we did not bring back up clothes to play in the water.

Route?

Air terjun ini bisa dicapai melalui tol Sentul dan keluar di Sentul City lalu ikuti petunjuk jalan. Jalan ini juga dikenal sebagai jalur alternatif menuju Puncak dari Cimahpar. (This waterfall can be reached through Sentul toll and go out in Sentul City, then you can follow the directions. This way also known as alternative way to Puncak from Cimahpar.)

Cost?

Biaya masuk di kawasan ini cukup mahal. Biaya masuk untuk satu orang kira-kira mencapai Rp 38.000. (Entry fee to this place is quite expensive. It is approximately Rp 38.000 for one person.)

Some tips:

1. Menggunakan mobil pribadi karena jarangnya angkutan umum menuju ke lokasi (Use the private car because we rarely find the public transportation to the location).
2. Jika anda suka bermain air, jangan lupa membawa baju ganti (If you like to play with the water, don't forget to bring back up clothes).
3. Ada beberapa tempat makanan dan oleh-oleh di sekitar area, tidak perlu takut jika lupa membawa bekal (there are some restaurants and shopping center around the area, it is okay if you forget to bring food stocks)
